News that Ironman is coming to Staffordshire has sparked a “phenomenal” response with more than 3,000 people pre-registering with organisers in just 24 hours.

The concluding 13.1 mile run will start and finish at the historic Shugborough country estate, the former ancestral home of Lord Lichfield.
